Rewarding Innovation in Schools

Dragonfly training was set up to deliver high quality practical training for teachers with a simple remit. To provide excellent ideas and materials for real classroom situations. However we are also dedicated to extracurricular activities as well. As a result we are running a competition for all secondary school in the UK (Prep schools are also included) to participate in.

All we want is to know about innovative projects that are going on in your school. They could be a fantastic school play, an effective anti-bullying policy, great links with the local community, charity work, environmental work, an unusual trip, implementation of curriculum, new initiatives etc etc. It can be anything. As long as it is a really successful project and makes for good education in its broadest sense, we'd like to hear about it.

All you have to do is submit the information of the project to us, in any format you like, by post or email (please do not just give us a website address) and we will look at every single application. How much you write/submit is up to you. We will then give £1000 to the top three schools to help assist them in their good work. The judging will be done by Stephen Chapman and Mary Elderkin the Managing Directors of Dragonfly Training Ltd

Teachers Needed to provide Quizzes

Dragonfly Training is committed to providing practical resources and ideas for teachers. We have spent a large amount of time and money creating materials for interactive whiteboards that utilize this technology to its maximum and provide educationally rigerous yet fun activities for the pupils.

We hope you like the types of quizzes we have made. Here you can see the types of formats we have created. Each term there will be a subject specific CD with lots of subject specific quizzes provided on nearly every Dragonfly Training course. We will update this CD every term with more and new quizzes. What we need from you is your help and expertise.

A quiz is only as good as its questions. We do not believe in gimmicks for gimmicks sake. So we need to make sure the content of these quizzes is what you want/need for your classroom.

So we would like you to email or post to us ideas you have for quizzes. They can be existing quizzes you already have but they must follow the format of the quizzes displayed on this site. We need them to be 20 questions long. With a clear heading, what subject (it is not always obvious). What age group it is for. And four options for each answer. You must also clearly indicate the correct answers.
