High Impact Teaching for Maths teachers
An accessible and practical course for all maths teachers
Course description
Maths teachers around Britain are interested in brain-based learning but are hampered by lack of time from even absorbing the new ideas, let alone adapting them into lesson plans for a class full of students.
Course aims are:
• To provide a host of practical strategies to introduce brain-based learning into your day-to-day teaching
• To cover the brain-based learning cycle, multiple intelligences and thinking skills
• To provide an astonishing wealth of materials for pupils aged 11 – 18, using different learning styles and intelligences. This could save departments hundreds of hours of work
The course’s content is concerned with what can be done with students and will not include medical research on how the mind works. These are not generic ideas, they are specific to the teaching of Maths.
