This course is suitable for both experienced and recently qualified teachers and learning support staff. The course will focus on practical strategies that will help support the pupils in the classroom and smaller group settings. The content will cover the impact of Specific learning difficulties on behaviour, learning organisation and self esteem. It will provide practical strategies to support teaching and learning, motivation and pupil self management.

This course includes:

• Explore ways to develop pupils self esteem and increase motivation
• Understand the nature of Dyslexia and Dyspraxia and associated conditions and the implications on learning and behaviour
• Supporting pupils with literacy difficulties
• How to develop pupils’ organization skills
