Hotel Based CoursesGo Back

Dragonfly Training has been providing hotel-based courses in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds for the past eleven years and these have been attended by thousands of teachers. Many schools are regular customers and send their staff year after year to our conferences as they are 100% satisfied with our hands-on style, lesson-ready ideas and practical strategies that can be used in school the very next day.

Each hotel-based conference runs from 9.00am to 2.30pm and costs £240.00 per delegate. This cost includes refreshments and a two course lunch, as well as a booklet of materials for all delegates to take away. Discounts are available for schools sending more than one delegate on one or more courses. More details are available on our website or by contacting our Conference Manager Paul McJennett at paul.mcjennett@dragonfly-training.co.uk or on tel: 029 20711787.

The hotels we use for our conferences are all easily accessible by car (with parking) or by train.

Please see below for a list of all our conferences suitable for Independent Schools and click on the tab for the full course details and an outline of the day.

Autumn Term Courses

How to be an Outstanding Member of an Independent School's Middle Management Team

Tuesday 26th June

(suitable for those in the post or aspiring to be so)

Middle Management: Head of Department and Faculties, Year Heads, Heads of Sixth Form, Middle School or Junior Departments, Heads of Activities, Games, House Tutors - these are the people at the sharp end of running Independent Schools who often find themselves in post without any formal training and they are probably wearing many other hats in the school at the same time. It is little wonder that they frequently find themselves worn out and frustrated at the end of term – or before.
This course seeks to help all aspiring and current Middle Managers by focusing on the challenges they face and offering practical solutions to the issues confronting colleagues. This will not be a day of relentless theory and philosophy, it will be a day of practicality and discussion instead.
