DELIVERING OUTSTANDING FOUNDATION STAGE PRACTICE IN A COVID19 WORLD

ONLINE COURSE
About this course

All our workshops are constantly updated to reflect the current - and ever-changing - circumstances in all schools relating to Covid-19

Developing Outstanding Foundation Stage Practice is an active and collaborative course that will enable you to take an in-depth look at all the elements that contribute to a setting excelling in its provision and succeeding in these challenging times . Focusing on excellence, blended learning, child-centred approach and safety, you will gain a clear understanding of expectations and what these look like in everyday practice.

The training will encourage you to evaluate your environment, ethos, learning opportunities, assessment and documentation. We aim to support you to manage change effectively and provide safe and happy environments to improve outcomes for all children.

All our 3-hour online workshops include:
  • practical classroom-ready ideas and resources
  • small group size to facilitate interaction and full engagement
  • group/pair work and discussion with the tutor
  • pdf of the course booklet

Course Outcomes:
  • What does a post-COVID Early Years classroom look like? Identifying how you can translate ideas and develop your own setting and everyday practice
  • To support EYFS teachers in evaluating current provision, develop blended learning, develop the monitoring element of their setting and manage change successfully
  • To consider well being and the use of positive psychology to support young children
  • To consider assessment expectations, ensuring manageability, accuracy and rigour
