LEARNING AFTER LOCKDOWN: EFFICIENT TEACHING AND HYBRID LEARNING

ONLINE PRACTICAL COURSE
About this course

All our workshops are constantly updated to reflect the current - and ever-changing - circumstances in all schools relating to Covid-19.

In these unprecedented times, most pupils are engaged in some form of home-learning. But as schools prepare to resume, educators are faced with a whole new set of challenges:

  • Where are the gaps in home-learning and where do we begin the curriculum when school resume?
  • How do we assess the depth and breadth of the students’ home-learning, and how effectively it can be recalled?
  • What can we do to make our teaching and curriculum effective and efficient so students are prepared to make rapid and sustained learning gains?

All our 3-hour online workshops include:
  • practical classroom-ready ideas and resources
  • small group size to facilitate interaction and full engagement
  • group/pair work and discussion with the tutor
  • pdf of the course booklet

Course Outcomes:
  • Discover how teachers can effectively assess the success and retention of home-learning when classes resume
  • Develop efficient classroom practice and whole-school strategies which optimise neural health, knowledge retention and effective learning for your students
  • Synthesise the evidence on effective learning and retention with the practical experience of how to embed best practice in your classroom and your school
  • Acquire a variety of practical activities and resources to share with students, parents and colleagues to ensure learning and knowledge ‘sticks’
