Inspirational Teaching Strategies

Re-think your whole approach to challenging all pupils
About this course

All our workshops are constantly updated to reflect the current - and ever-changing - circumstances in all schools relating to Covid-19.

Do you want to know what ‘adaptive teaching’ is and how it could revolutionise your approach to differentiation?

Do you want to know how to implement classroom-based strategies that challenge and support all pupils?

Do you want to see differentiation as integral to quality teaching rather than a ‘bolt on’ gesture?

There is no question that differentiation as an issue crops up time and again as an area requiring continued development in schools – hundreds of Inspection reports tell us this. It is also true that it is often seen as impossible to differentiate effectively for all pupils! However, by re-thinking what it actually is and by re-thinking what we do in the classroom it becomes possible to differentiate in a way that is both highly effective and highly sustainable.

All our 3-hour online workshops include:
  • practical classroom-ready ideas and resources
  • small group size to facilitate interaction and full engagement
  • group/pair work and discussion with the tutor
  • pdf of the course booklet

Course Outcomes:
  • Understand an approach to differentiation that is based on the model of ‘adaptive teaching’
  • Experience classroom based scenarios that allow differentiation to happen
  • Learn how to ensure the strategies pass the ‘acid test’ for differentiation: are all pupils appropriately challenged?
  • Leave the course enthused and energised with increased confidence in your ability to differentiate for all
