Effective Leadership

Developing strategies for an inclusive school
About this course

  • What are the key components to successful whole-school inclusion around SEND?
  • How does our current practice stack up? – building the picture.
  • How do we plan for school improvement around SEND?

This one-day training course supports school SENDCo’s to become effective, reflective practitioners who can confidently champion the children that they support, ensuring the very best outcomes. From start to finish this jam-packed day examines SEND within the context of whole-school improvement and is full of practical tasks and resources to aid the development of this complex area. Throughout the day SENDCo’s have the opportunity to network and share good practice, as well as troubleshoot the more complex of areas of SEND, to identify solutions and next steps. At the end of the day, every school SENDCo will have a comprehensive toolkit of activities and plans for taking SEND and inclusion forwards in their school.
